Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 24 August 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
You agree to these terms by ticking the acceptance checkbox when you create a Doops account. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use Doops. Doops is currently in beta: features change often, and the service may be interrupted or reset without notice.
2. What Doops is
Doops lets you chat with AI agents ("Doops") that are built from a YouTube creator's own published videos. A Doops is an AI character, not the creator. Its answers are generated by a language model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, even when they cite a video. Nothing a Doops says is professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use Doops, and old enough to consent to processing of your personal data where you live. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for everything that happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us through doops.app if you believe your account has been used without permission.
4. Creators, channels and video content
If you connect a YouTube channel to Doops, you confirm you control that channel or are authorised to act for whoever does. You choose which videos are used as context for your Doops, and you can change that selection or ask us to remove them. Creators keep all rights in their videos and transcripts; connecting a channel grants Doops only the permission needed to fetch, index and quote that content in order to run your Doops. Creators are responsible for the persona they configure and for what their Doops says.
5. AI-generated content
Doops responses are generated automatically. We do not review them before you see them, and we do not guarantee they reflect the views of the creator. Treat links and timestamps a Doops offers as pointers to check, not as verified citations. Do not rely on a Doops for any decision that matters without confirming it independently.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use Doops to: break the law; harass, threaten or impersonate anyone; upload or solicit sexual content involving minors; attempt to extract system prompts, credentials or other users' data; scrape, resell or redistribute Doops output at scale; probe, overload or interfere with the service; or misrepresent a Doops as the real creator speaking. We may remove content and suspend accounts that do.
7. Your content
You keep the rights to what you write in chats. You give us permission to store and process it so we can operate the service, and to use it in aggregated, de-identified form to improve Doops. We do not sell your conversations.
8. Intellectual property
Doops, its name, logo, interface and code belong to us. Creator videos and transcripts belong to their creators. Neither is licensed to you beyond using the service as intended.
9. Availability and beta status
Doops is provided as-is during the beta. There is no uptime commitment. Usage limits, message quotas and features may change at any time, and we may delete beta data when leaving beta.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Doops at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if we need to protect the service or other users.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Doops is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Doops develops. The "last updated" date above changes when we do. Continuing to use Doops after an update means you accept the new terms.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be raised through the contact form on doops.app.
